A man has been reported for drink-driving after allegedly crashing his car into the front verandah of a home at Broadview in Adelaide's northern suburbs.
Police say the car crashed through a brick fence and ran over a water meter, but the driver still managed to free his vehicle, reverse out and drive away.
The vehicle was soon found by police in nearby Prospect with significant damage to its front end and its registered owner nearby, police say.
A 46-year-old Broadview man was reported for drink-driving with an alleged blood-alcohol reading of 0.148.
He was also charged with driving without due care and failing to stop after an accident.
He received an immediate loss of licence and had his car impounded.Treasured stories from elderly citizens going down on paper - find out how to get involved here @MelodyHorrill7 http://t.co/JcdtXCmdmm
