Man dies after chute fails to open

A skydiver has died after his parachute failed to open during a jump in country South Australia.

Police and ambulance crews were called to SA Sky Diving at Wellington, near Tailem Bend, at about 4.30pm.

SA Police said there were no further details available in a statement issued just after 5pm on Friday.
