Student plunges 20ft to her death

A 22-year-old cheerleader has plunged more than six metres to her death from the roof of a builder’s warehouse in the middle of the night.

Police aren't sure why Vanessa Clarke was on the roof of the building in the middle of the night, but believe her death may be the result of a drunken prank.

A source close to the investigation told The Daily Mail the death appears to have been the result of 'alcohol-fuelled high jinks'.

Miss Clarke, a third year university student, fell 20 feet onto the concrete floor of the Travis Perkins warehouse, which is situated near a popular student pub in Bath, England.

Tributes have flowed for Vanessa since her death, with fellow students leaving flowers and a cheer leading uniform near the site.

Bath University has released a statement saying it's 'saddened' by Vanessa's death, while her friends have paid triubute to her on Twitter.

"Sad to hear that my project colleague Vanessa Clarke passed away ... May her soul rest in peace. She was honest and hard-working team member," one friend said.

Another added, "Truly a pleasure to have known and worked with you, Vanessa."

Police say an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
