Woman's death 'unexplained'

A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the body of a 38-year-old woman found in Upper Hutt.

The woman's body was found in her house in the suburb of Ebdentown by family members about 10.15pm on Thursday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton says the results of a post-mortem examination carried out on Friday afternoon haven't determined a preliminary cause of death.

Police will continue to treat the woman's death as unexplained and are making further inquiries.
