We've compiled a list of important websites and phone numbers that will keep you up to date with the latest from the flood crisis in Queensland.

The recovery efforts for the Queensland floods will be a slow and complex process, with volunteers required to help in the weeks and months to come.

Volunteering Qld maintains continual contact with key disaster management agencies and will notify registered volunteers as new opportunities to help become available.

Brisbane City Council have asked if anyone would like to lend a hand filling sandbags.

People should preferably wear work boots and high visibility clothing. If volunteers do not have work boots then enclosed shoes must be worn. Light coloured clothing is also acceptable is you do not have high visibility.

BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL

Visit Brisbane City Council for information on road closures and areas at risk, sandbag locations, flood maps and flood modelling.

All residents are reminded to stay away from flood waters for their safety.

Residents are also reminded that CityCat and CityFerry services remain closed due to river conditions caused by flooding.

Residents requiring assistance with property damage or flooding within their property boundary should contact the SES on 132 500.

To report downed trees outside of your property boundary or issues with stormwater drains, contact Council on 3403 8888.

To report fallen powerlines, phone Energex on 13 19 62.
