Tim Watson is one of AFL football's most revered heroes. Renowned for his superb skills and explosive bursts of pace, Tim played 307 Games for Essendon from 1977-1991 and 1993-1994.

Following a year of 'retirement' in 1992 - in which he joined Seven's AFL team as a special comments expert - Tim returned to footy and was rewarded with his third Essendon premiership in 1993, having previously played a starring role in Essendon's 1984 and 1985 premiership teams.

Upon his retirement as a player in 1994, Tim joined Seven Melbourne, where he presented the weeknight sport bulletin on Seven News for four years. Tim was also a key member of Seven's AFL commentary team.

Tim was a pioneer host of 4-Quarters (1995) and Around The Grounds (1997). He also hosted 'Against All Odds: James Hird's Own Story', following the 2000 AFL Grand Final.

Tim returned to the AFL ranks in 1999 as coach of St Kilda, a position he held for two seasons.

Since returning to Seven Melbourne on a full-time basis in October 2000 Tim co-hosted footy show The Game and in 2002 joined Bruce McAvaney and Caroline Wilson 'on the couch' as a member of the Talking Footy team.

In 2004 joined Melbourne's sport radio team SEN - hosting the breakfast session with Billy Brownless and Gary Lyon and currently still with Billy and Andy Maher. Having previously presented sport on Melbourne's Fox FM and commentated on the AFL for 3LO, hosting a sport breakfast radio show was a natural progression.

"Working seven days a week in sport is many peoples idea of a heavenly existence," says Tim.

Tim also continues to present sport on Seven News weekend edition with Jennifer Keyte.
