David Brown

David Brown is Australia's leading meteorologist-weather presenter.

Not only does he present the weather on Australia's most popular breakfast show, Sunrise, but he also presents weather and climate change issues on Seven's national 4:30 news bulletin and Melbourne's 6pm news.

David is perhaps best known for introducing the groundbreaking seven-day forecast on Seven Nightly News in 1998, which was then adopted by all other networks.

In 2006, David released his first book "The Weather", analysing the big weather events that have shaped the Australian landscape over the past 150 years.

David completed a Bachelor of Applied Science at Monash University in 1982, before taking on a job at Melbourne's Bureau of Meteorology. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a senior forecaster, and made his first foray into television, appearing on Channel 10 with weather updates. In 1993, David joined Seven, where he has remained.

David met his German-born wife Angela while doing the jive at a ballroom dancing night. The couple now has two girls, Melanie and Jessica, and a pet Collie called Memphis. They live on a two-acre property at the end of the Eastern Freeway in Melbourne, surrounded by a huge garden - David's other passion.

    Seymour sorry...what about the NRL?
