During election campaigns, politicians hold one, sometimes two, media conferences a day.
Then there's the shopping centre walkabouts and the radio interviews and ... well, you get the drift.
Basically they have to do a helluva lot of talking. But Borgspeak has hit new heights, or perhaps that should be lows.
Opposition leader Lawrence Springborg has hit upon a novel way of 'padding' during his answers to reporters questions (padding gives the pollie the chance to think about the real answer they want to give.)
So today (Tuesday 10) at his media conference, in response to questions about a football stadium... "What will happen, will happen".
About cyclone Hamish.. "Cyclones do what they do.."
And about the Premier's plans to visit an area affected by Hamish, "The Premier can go where the Premier goes".
And last of all the global financial crisis... "Experts will say what experts will say".
All of which serves to leave reporters with crossed eyes. No wonder the voters haven't engaged with the campaign yet.
