Isn't it amazing how an election focuses a political party's attention?
Especially one that's trying for a fifth term in office on the back of poor records in health, infrastructure and education.
Last week I spent two days trying to find out how many Queensland Health Department owed homes had had their security upgraded under an urgent plan ordered by Minister Stephen Robertson nine months ago.
The answer, when it finally came late on Saturday was 40 out of 101, the remaining 60 were being 'worked on'.
I'm glad I don't live in them.
Yet within hours of a damming report into conditions at Bundaberg Hospital's emergency department, Mr Robertson can find $250,000 to try to fix things up.
The hypocrisy is mind boggling. I hope he had the decency to blush.
If Labor want to be taken seriously they have to stop treating people like mushrooms.
Still waiting for the recipe for that chocolate ganash made by the Premier's son.
