A cheer erupts across the press plane as the hostess announces there will be alcohol on this flight.
It's a sign of the kind of day we've had - flying from Sydney to Mackay and back again, visiting showgrounds, fish markets, miners.
Well, I'd like to think it is anyway - as opposed to a worrying indication of my colleagues' drinking habits.
It's been just over a week since I joined the campaign trail and I've completely neglected my blogging duties. Ahem. I never was a reliable journal keeper.
But, you know, I've been kind of busy.
Canberra-Sydney-Brisbane-Canberra-Brisbane-Sydney-Mackay-Sydney. All the while getting up for Sunrise crosses, rushing to file stories for various Seven News bulletins, updating the network on plans/events/key moments, and of course tweeting. Not that this is a whinge. Oh no. Absolutely not. I am loving it.
After one week with the PM, I crossed to Tony Abbott's camp on Sunday night.
Cue a total change in style. Julia Gillard is great at the charm but noone pulls a TV stunt like Tony Abbott.
The Action Man knows no bounds. Seriously! I have just witnessed him gut a big fish and then EAT a piece. No, no, not a special sashimi fish - a random chunk of barramundi complete with scales. Hmmm, at least it was fresh...
Yesterday Mr Abbott brought his wife on the campaign. Today his 21 year old daughter Louise was the anointed wing woman.
This stands in stark contrast to our first female Prime Minister, who is both childless and unmarried, and who doesn't seem to drag her partner Tim to many events at all.
Studying the behaviour of Mr Abbott with his family and Ms Gillard with Tim, I see love on both sides. But will the family factor play a role? Will it give Mr Abbott an advantage? He seems to think so.
As a radio journo toggles with her new iPad by my side, Tony Abbott's press secretary scours the papers in front and persistent workers punch on their laptops up and down the aisles, it's time to squeeze in a little snooze without fearing I'll miss any action.
You've got to squeeze the snooze in wherever you can. You never know when you'll get another.
