Woman dies after Avoca Beach tragedy

A woman has died in a beach tragedy late this afternoon on the New South Wales Central Coast.

It's believed two young women got into difficulty while kayaking at Avoca Beach.

Surf lifesavers rescued both but one could not be revived.

The other woman has been taken to Gosford Hospital.
