A Sydney family is settling down after an amazing home birth that involved a mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law.

The frantic all-in effort was orchestrated by a trainee ambulance operator, with all the drama captured on a Triple-Zero recording.

Still stunned by the experience, Caroline Moore, held her baby and met the 27-year-old trainee who helped deliver him.

"It was great to have you on the phone. I don’t think we could have done it without you on the phone," she said.

Caroline was at home when the contractions began.

"I'm going to help deliver the baby okay,” Triple-0 operator. “Oh my god okay,” Caroline said. “We're going to do this and I'm going to do this with you okay?”

Caroline's mother-in-law called triple-zero while her own mum played midwife.

“The baby's coming, oh my god!” “Is she pushing or straining?” “No she's not pushing she's just having contractions.”

A very calm Jarrod Furness gave instructions from the call centre, telling her to take deep breaths.
