Toddler killed in car, truck crash

A two-year-old boy has been killed after the car he was travelling in was involved in a collision with a truck near Raymond Terrace.

Emergency services were called to Clarence Town at around 9:25am this morning.

A Holden Commodore station wagon and a rigid truck had been involved in a crash, resulting in the truck carrying boxes and equipment rolling onto its side.

The driver of the car, a 22-year-old woman was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A two-year-old boy and 14-week-old baby were also taken to hospital but the boy died enroute.

The baby is being treated for minor injuries in hospital.

The male truck driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
