Man dies in Perisher skiing accident

A 53-year-old man has been pronounced dead after hitting a tree while skiing in Perisher.
The Tathra man was skiing with a friend in Guthega at around 2:20pm yesterday when he failed to negotiate a turn and hit a tree.
He was taken by sled to the bottom of the run by ski patrollers and was complaining of chest pain.
The man fell unconscious and unfortunately could not be revived.
