A 42-year-old man allegedly trafficked women from Thailand to Australia to work in his Sydney brothel.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) arrested the man on Wednesday night in relation to the human trafficking offences.

He is expected to face court at the Downing Centre on February 14, when it will be alleged the women working in his brothel had been trafficked from Thailand.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the women went to the Salvation Army for help and were then taken to police to report the alleged offences.

Police raided a house in Cabramatta and also visited a neighbouring property as part of their investigation.
