Bushfire emergency at Kurri Kurri

Sixty firefighters are tonight battling a bushfire at Kurri Kurri, north-west of Newcastle.
The blaze broke out at about 4:30 this afternoon.
Properties are under threat in Brown Crescent, and roads have been closed in the area.
