A woman has died after driving off a steep embankment and rolling her car at Salisbury East overnight.

Police say the 39-year-old Gulfview Heights woman died at the scene after her car left the Grove Way, drove down an embankment and rolled.

Her death takes the road toll to 70, compared to 83 at the same time last year.
