Parents of children with autism are calling on the government to help raise awareness and understanding of the common developmental disorder.
They were given a taxpayer funded grant to make an educational film but they have no way to distribute it in schools.
Written by ‘Another Country’ author Michael Whelan and narrated by television personality Tom Gleisner, the film includes enlightening interviews with the brothers, sisters, cousins and friends of children on the spectrum. Through beautiful imagery, engaging narrative and quirky animation, 'What are you doing?' sends the message that children with autism should be accepted, supported and encouraged by their peers to be a part of their community.
