Sydney ferry workers to stop work Friday

Sydney ferries will stop for four hours on Friday as maritime employees vote on workplace conditions.

Harbour City Ferries employees will stop work from 10am to 2pm to vote on a new enterprise bargaining agreement.

"The stop work has been scheduled outside the busy peak hour commute to limit disruption to customers," said Harbour City Ferries chief executive officer Steffen Faurby.

The Taronga Zoo service is the only ferry that will operate during the stoppage.

Commuters are advised to visit transportnsw.info or phone the Transport Info Line on 131 500.
