Mystery over body found washed up on popular Adelaide beach


The body of a man has been found on the beach at Glenelg North in Adelaide.

Police were called to North Esplanade just after 9.30pm on Friday after the dead man was found on the sand near the water’s edge.

Detectives and crime scene examiners have visited the site.

The man has not been formally identified and police are currently treating the death as unexplained.

A post mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of the man’s death and a report is being prepared for the Coroner, police said.
