Revealed: Sydney's illegal drug hotspots
Almost no suburb in Sydney is immune from the threat of illegal drugs.
A Seven News investigation can reveal which suburbs are demanding drugs and what residents are chasing.
Pyrmont is Sydney’s capital for cocaine followed closely by the CBD then upmarket Double Bay and Potts Point.
Cannabis can be found everywhere by Haymarket, Auburn and Potts Point are the worst offenders.
Surry Hills is also the epicentre of the ice epidemic in the city and tops the list for narcotics, such as heroin.
Cabramatta and Potts Point also demand heroin with Potts Point and Liverpool contributing to the ice problem.
NSW Drug Squad Commander Detective Superintendent Tony Cook said demand for drugs in the city was “too high”.
“We are providing a market for organised criminals to sell their garbage into,” he said.

"That really is about precincts and about what is drawing people to those precincts.
"The facts are these drugs are significantly impacting individuals and communities right across New South Wales and nationally."
As for dealers, the largest number of ice dealers were busted in Blacktown while for cannabis and cocaine, it was Merrylands and the CBD respectively.
Potts Point had the most busts for narcotics.
NSW Opposition Leader Luke Foley said it was “a real wake-up call for Government at all levels”.
“So much more needs to be done,” he said.
