Riflescope, laser pointer seized in bikie raids along NSW-Queensland border

Cash, a small amount of drugs and firearms equipment have been seized after raids on properties associated with outlaw motorcycle gangs on the New South Wales-Queensland border.

The riot squad and detectives were responding to recent violence in the Tweed Heads area, believed to be related to tensions between rival gangs.

As part of Strike Force Walenore, officers from Tweed-Byron Local Area Command moved on the home in response to recent violence stemming from increasing tensions between rival gains in the area, police said.

A search was also carried out on the home of a Lone Wolf outlaw motorcycle gang associate in Terranora on Tuesday, police said, and a 39-year-old man was warned for “consorting”.

The NSW Police Strike Force Raptor and Queensland Police attached to Taskforce Maxima assisted in the raid.

Earlier this month police made one arrest in the same area following raids on suspected bikie gang associate properties.
