Kyrgios party girls break their silence after nightclub encounter

The two tennis stars seen partying with Nick Kyrgios after he pulled out of his Wimbledon match have revealed details of the encounter.

Monique Belovukovic and Chelsea Samways were pictured with Kyrgios at the Cirque Le Soir nightclub after the Australian tennis player pulled out of the Wimbedon tournament in the first round, suffering from an injured hip.

They claim that they are just friends with the controversial tennis star and that their encounter with him was not as scandalous as people think.

Belovukovic said she knew Kyrgios was in a relationship with fellow Australian tennis player Ajla Tomljanovic and that there was nothing suspect about their night out in London.

She said they were simply "having a good time ... It was all completely innocent".

She added that Kyrgios paid for drinks for the table and had "a few vodka shots while enjoying the music".

Belovukovic has known Kyrgios since childhood, playing in the same tournaments together, but Samways had only met him for the first time that evening.

She said he admired his career achievements and that his on-court antics were not done for the attention.

“Nick is actually really nice and the coolest guy off the court," she said.

“He’s gained a lot of confidence over the years, but he’s still the same guy I met when I was 11.”
