Heartless thieves break in, steal family's Christmas gifts
A Crestmead family is having a devastating holiday break after thieves ransacked their property and stole gifts, cash and jewellery.
It is believed they were only out of the house for about four hours on Christmas day, when the offenders struck.
"To come home to what we come home to, yeah, pretty heartbreaking," Miyah Butler told 7 News.
"My son new drone, step daughters ipad mini, daughters 3DS, sons 3DS XL and Xbox games, cash, money tin, my little kids cash register too," a gofundme page for the family states.
Miyah Butler and David Sanders, who have ten children between them, are also due to get married in just four days and have said some items for their event were trashed.
Their wedding rings were also taken.
The gofundme page states: "Wedding items trashed, our wedding rings that we have worked so hard to save for, gone. absolutely devastated."
The family has been left gutted by the heartless Christmas day break-in.
But they have been inundated with support and donations.
"All I want is to replace the items and to restore the faith for the kids that there are good people in the world that still care." David Sanders wrote on the gofundme page.
