Thug punches man in cowardly 'racist attack'
Harrowing footage has emerged on social media showing a thug punching an Asian man in the face on the London Underground in a suspected racist attack.
A woman is then seen chasing the attacker down the platform.
The shocking video shows the man approach the victim who is sitting down as the train stops.
He then punches the man and flees out the train door.
The woman sitting next to the victim then gave chase.
The incident was posted on Twitter and met with anger by social media users.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said, "We are investigating an assault after a video was brought to our attention.
"A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning ABH and using threatening/abusive words/behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress."
He has been bailed until 14 November.
