Kangaroo viciously attacks and injures toddler in Queensland
A two-year-old girl has been viciously attacked by a kangaroo in Queensland.
The girl was playing outside her home at Hervey Bay on Tuesday afternoon when the kangaroo struck.
As a result of the attack, the girl suffered scratches to her face and body.
Neighbour Renee Harris said she heard the child’s screams and rushed to help.
“I was just watching TV and I heard screams. So I've ran out, I saw the young toddler on the ground, the kangaroo on top of it, everyone trying to grab the toddler,” she told 7 News.
The brave neighbour ended up fighting the 'roo off, suffering several scratches to her body.
Paramedics transported the girl to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
The kangaroo hopped away from the scene.
