Melbourne police officer punched at railway station
A 17-year-old girl has allegedly punched a police officer at a busy transport hub in Melbourne overnight.
It's believed the violence broke out as officers were trying to relocate a group of aggressive teenagers at Southern Cross Station in the city's CBD at about 1.30am on Sunday, according to police.
Police say that is when the officer was allegedly punched by the teenager from Pakenham.
The group then attacked officers, police say.
It is understood officers had to use capsicum spray to subdue the teenagers.
The teens were moved on and and no arrests have been made.
Police are continuing their investigations.
