Buddhist monk tussles with thief who stole his wallet
A Buddhist monk has unleashed his more aggressive side as he tussled with a thief who stole his wallet.
CCTV video shows the monk standing at a lottery machine inside a petrol station in South Philadelphia in the US when a robber grabs the wallet straight out of his hand.
The footage shows the man lingering around the orange-robed victim, the monk appearing to be aware of the man’s presence as he looks over his shoulder.
After he grabs the wallet, the video shows the thief making a dash for his car outside the service station.
The monk follows close behind and wrestles with the suspect before getting thrown to the ground.
He quickly gets up and can be seen berating the man through the window of his car.
The robber, who got away with $350, is apparently unaware of the notion of karma.
Police have appealed for public assistance in identifying the suspect.
