'Mini-gun' made from fireworks lights-up Wisconsin beach

Footage has emerged of a “mini-gun” made from fireworks exploding into action on a dark, dull day in Wisconsin.

The video, which was posted to Youtube by a user called aspahn2009, was filmed at a South Milwaukee beach on Sunday.

The post said the contraption was made by strapping seven “Cyber Cannons” – Roman Candle fireworks that fire 143 shots each – to a 3inch PVC tube with handles.

The result was a firework machine that fired 1001 shots in 45 seconds. In a later post, the user said it cost about $200 to make.

A guy can be seen in the video lighting each firework one-by-one, with some starting to explode before he finishes, as another young man holds on tight to the DIY device.

A colourful array of fireworks then lights up the dull Milwaukee day, as the ‘mini-gun’-holder sprays them into the sky and across the water.

Reaction to the video was mixed, with some viewers saying the men were polluting the beach.

Another poster called the 'show' “stupid, but beautiful”.

The good, the bad and the downright dangerousness of fireworks has been pretty evident over the past week:
