Some of Mrs Mehajer's most recent appointments have included the sole directorships of S.E.T. Services and Sydney Project Group.

Both companies are being currently sued by a commercial finance broker for almost $2 million.

In addition she has also added Sydney Constructions & Developments to her portfolio, which recently lost a deal to buy a council-owned car park for $6.5 million.

The newlywed has repeatedly stood by her husband.

Most recently supporting his ambitions to one day run for the prime minister’s office.

She has also stuck by Salim during his recent appearances in court.

The pair were married earlier in the year in a wedding that made national headlines.

In October, Cr Mehajer resigned from eight of the roles, informing his fellow councillors that he had "resigned from being a developer and director of multiple companies," citing his ambitions in a very different area: medicine.

"I was inspired after Clr Batik Dundar resigned from real estate," Cr Mehajer said in an email.

"I will soon (hopefully) be undertaking a Bachelor degree in Medicine in hope to cure those suffering from various types of illness; majoring in 'Specialist mental health services'- inspired by many."

Salim remains director of two companies, including one involving the brother-in-law of Auburn mayor Le Lam.
