Good Samaritan helps ambulance get through Philippines traffic jam

A Good Samaritan motorcyclist in the Philippines has helped an ambulance get through a busy line up of traffic.

In a video taken from inside the ambulance, the motorcyclist can be seen riding ahead through the gridlock in Manila.

Most vehicles seem to ignore the sirens and flashing lights suggesting an emergency.

They slowly begin to make way when the motorcyclist starts gesturing at drivers.

Eventually the traffic gives the ambulance enough room to move through.

"While we were in the ambulance on the way to the Chinese General Hospital, this guy cleared the way for us," Facebook uploader Jaypee Castillo said.

"We weren't even able to thank him. Thank you for helping us even if you didn't know us.

"We hope to see you again so we can thank you in person."
