Volunteer firefighter's beautiful proposal to long-term partner
A volunteer firefighter has enlisted the help of his crew members to pull off a beautiful and elaborate proposal to his long-term partner.
NSW Rural Fire Service firefighter Yichuan Jin went to great lengths when he finally popped the question to Anh Tran, his partner of 14 years.
“We all knew this day was coming for many years,” he says in a video recorded by a fellow crew member.
“I always knew this was going to be the case 14 years ago, so today is all about making sure it goes right.”
The video, which was uploaded to Facebook yesterday, shows the crew and a nervous Jin riding towards his girlfriend’s house in a fire truck.
When they arrive they ring the truck siren, before he enters the house dressed in full protective gear, including an oxygen mask.
He then carries his delighted partner across the threshold and out to the fire truck and awaiting crew.
It is then in front of his friends from the Warringah Pittwater RFS, that he removes his mask and gets down on bended knee.
He then pops the question in true firefighter style by having a mate roll out a fire hose emblazoned with the words ‘Anh, Will you marry me?’
The small crowd burst into applause when she says yes, and Jin quickly put a lovely ring on her finger before giving her a big embrace.
“I would like to thank Anh Tran for sticking by me for half my entire life,” Jin wrote when he posted the video of the April proposal online yesterday.
“I wouldn’t have made it this far without you and I wouldn’t want to go any further without you.”
The beautiful video joins a long lists of incredible and fantastic proposals which have gone viral.
