Storm chaser captures incredible photo of rare twin tornadoes
A US storm chaser and photographer has captured an incredible image of twin tornadoes dwarfed by the supercell thunderstorm that produced them in Colorado.
Kelly DeLay took the stunning image on June 4, writing, "Storm of a lifetime. Sister tornados under a massive supercell" when he shared the image on his Instagram.
DeLay’s photo shows the twin twisters, touching down beneath the towering supercell that pelted the region with hail.
He and other chasers reported that the storm produced at least four tornadoes, one of which damaged several homes, according to Mashable.
DeLay told photography website 500-ISO that he battled against massive hail stones to take the picture.

"When I chase storms, I like to stay back for the most part so I can see structure. I am interested in the whole picture not just if it produces a tornado," he said.
"Because of the road network, I chose to come up from the back side of the storm, which put me into the hail, BUT what a view! There is nickel to golfball-sized hail in every shot I took."
