Learner driver's great escape foiled
A learner driver has been left red-faced after he ran out of fuel while trying to evade police.
They say the 22-year-old took off when they tried to pull him over for a broken tail light in Adelaide's west early on Wednesday.
But their pursuit was short-lived when he ran out of fuel soon afterwards.
He was charged with dangerous driving to evade police, breaching the conditions of his learner's permit and not displaying L plates.
He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on April 24.
