NSW bikie drug ring smashed: police

Police say they've smashed a bikie drug ring in the NSW Hunter region following a series of raids.

Four men were arrested as a gang squad strike force seized more than a kilogram of amphetamines and other drugs, $37,000 in cash, two sawn-off shotguns and a hand gun during raids at five properties on Tuesday.

Police say the street value of the confiscated drugs add up to more than $1 million.

A 41-year-old member of the Gladiators outlaw motorcycle gang was charged with a number of offences, including commercially supplying drugs.

He is due to appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on Wednesday.

A 49-year-old senior member of the Gladiators was charged with four counts of possessing a prohibited weapon and granted bail to appear in Maitland Local Court on December 1.

A 25-year-old man was charged with holding a large commercial drug supply and possession of unauthorised firearms, while a fourth man is still being questioned.
