Dead body found at tip not being treated as suspicious, police say

The death of a man whose body was found inside a tip at Hampton Park is not suspicious, Victoria Police has said.

The man has been identified as a 34-year-old from Endeavour Hills.

A worker found the body about 8:00am on Tuesday and thought it was a mannequin.

At the time, police said they thought a rubbish truck had dropped the body at the tip earlier in the day.

Police believed the death was suspicious and the homicide squad was called in.

But now police have said the death is not suspicious.

They have not provided any other information.
