Man charged after car crashes into house

A 22-year-old man has been charged with drink driving after his car crashed into a house in western Sydney, shattering glass over a man sleeping inside.

The 44-year-old man was asleep in the front room of the house in Penrith, when the car crashed into the house about 10.30pm on Wednesday (AEST).

He received a minor cut to his arm from a shattered window.

The car's driver has been charged with drink driving after allegedly returning a breath analysis reading of 0.139.

He was given conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Thursday.
