Toddler found alive in dense bushland after search

FIRST ON 7: Volunteer rescuers have found a two-year-old boy who went missing on the the New South Wales mid-north coast yesterday.

Two-year-old Tyler was with his mother at a mechanic in John River, near Taree, when he was reported to be missing around 10:30am after running off with his four-year-old brother.

An extensive ground and air search failed to locate the boy and was suspended due to falling light.

However, locals continued to search through the night to find the little boy who was found roaming through dense bushland around 2am with no shoes on.

He has been taken to Port Macquarie Hospital as a precaution where doctors expect him to be discharged this morning.
