Two people have escaped with minor injuries after a car crashed through the front of a pharmacy south of Adelaide.

The car careered into the O’Sullivan Beach Pharmacy on Gulfview Rd just after 9am this morning.

Police say the elderly driver of the vehicle mistook the accelerator for the brake.

The car also hit a customer inside the shop.

Both the customer, the driver and his wife were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Fire crews spent the morning working to remove the vehicle and cleaning up the scene.
