A man has died after a car crashed into a stobie pole at Hope Valley, in Adelaide's northeastern suburbs.

Police say the white Nissan sedan hit the stobie pole on Grand Junction Rd just before 11am.

The male driver died instantly.

Major Crash are investigating the crash, which hurled debris a hundred metres down the road.
