Horrific detail in livestream leads to sinister discovery

A man has been arrested and charged with murder after police said he was spotted on a livestream holding a handgun.

Raymond Michael Weber, 29, from Sacramento in the US state of California, was arrested on January 30 and charged with two counts of murder after a woman reported a man inside an apartment who was possibly armed.

“She stated the man had live-streamed himself on social media from inside the apartment. The video showed the man carrying a handgun and two women lying on the floor – not moving,” police said.

Police added Weber was wanted on an outstanding warrant for various offences including domestic battery and assault with a deadly weapon.

It’s alleged police had to use a SWAT team during his arrest after he barricaded himself in the apartment.

“Negotiations were attempted, however they were unsuccessful,” police said.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the other units in the apartment building were evacuated as distraction devices and chemical agents were deployed in an attempt to have the man surrender.”

Police located Weber and tasered him while two women were also found dead in the apartment.

One of the women was identified by CBS13 as 26-year-old Savannah Theberge, who was also Weber’s fiancee.

She leaves behind a four-year-old son.

The other victim hasn’t been formally identified but is believed to be a teenage girl aged 15.
