Cool World Leaders

Being in charge of a country during a war is difficult, but Nouri Al-Maliki, the first Prime Minister of Iraq under the new constitution, has had to deal with worse things than that. In 1979, Al-Maliki fled Iraq because he heard that he was going to be killed by Saddam Hussein’s government. As Prime Minister, he has kept his cool and continued relations with the U.S. and Iran, as well as political groups in his own country.
