Perth mum's hilariously realistic account about 'parent sex' goes viral

A Perth blogger’s hilarious and honest account about the difficulties of keeping your sex life alive after having children, has won her thousands of fans online.

Mother-of-four Constance Hall took to Facebook on Tuesday night, to share the elation she felt after having ‘parent sex’, which many only get a chance to have in the “3.5 minutes you get in between changing nappies and making food”.

The post, which has been liked more than 117,000 times, and shared more than 30,000 times, has clearly resonated with parents online.

In the hilarious post, Ms Hall describes how parent sex occurs “when you notice that all your kids are pretty distracted.”

“Where you realise it's been almost a month since you banged and are starting to feel like flat mates.”

“Where you position the bed to have one foot against the door because for a loud bunch of kids, yours can be pretty quiet when they're sneaking up on people,” the post adds.

“Where no matter how hot it is you chuck the doona on top of yourselves in case someone manages to barge through and catch mummy and daddy doing "yoga" in bed.”

“It's a pretty romantic scene really, listening to Iggle Piggle in the back ground, knowing your days are numbered when you here the add break.”

Ms Hall, who has been inundated with followers since posting the account of her sex life, told Yahoo7 she was shocked to see how quickly the post went viral.

She said she believes other parents are relieved to see that other couples find it difficult to maintain the spark when they have young children.

"A lot of women are tagging their husbands which is awesome, maybe their husbands will stop giving them grief about their sex life and saying that other couples do it a lot more, when actually they usually don't."

She said it was important for people to be honest and to tell it like it really is on social media.

"A lot of mums spend a lot of time inside with their children and babies, when they click on Facebook to see what's happening they are confronted by a whole lot of bulls*** and left thinking that everyone is living these amazing lives.

"I think people are happy to see that someone is being real and not trying to make themselves out to be a sex goddess."

Facebook users have applauded the 32-year-old for her frank account of the couple’s sex life.

"This by far is the most honest and true statement ever made by a woman on Facebook. I love it, it's exactly what happens in our household,” one woman wrote.

"Constance Hall you rock for telling it how it is (for all us parents) and even more for slapping your pic at the top! go girl! (and yes you deserve a night in a hotel with hubby and no kids)," added another.
