Feeling nostalgic? A Country Practice hospital is up for sale
It was the scene of some of Australian television's most memorable moments - Wandin Valley Hospital from A Country Practice.
Now the Western Sydney home used as the set during the Channel 7 show is up for sale.
Historic Clare House, at Oakville near Windsor, is known by many Aussie viewers by another name - The Wandin Valley Bush Nursing Hospital.
This was the place picked out by a TV producer in 1981 to become part of one of the country's most-loved series.
It's 190 years old, built of convict-made bricks on two and a half acres, with mountains views and five bedrooms - not that viewers ever saw inside.
All the hospital interiors were filmed inside a studio.
"It's had more interest than I was originally expecting," real estate agent Wendy Phillips says.
"The rest of the team in the office will appreciate it when the phones get a bit quieter."
A Country Practice fans still seek it out.
"It's beautiful, I couldn't believe it when I drove past it, I was just like, 'I finally found it!'," Kathryn Pocock says.
"It holds a lot of memories for a lot of people, of my age anyway. It made me want to go and live in the country."
Open for inspection this Saturday, it could fetch up to $3million when it goes to auction on September 30.
