Mugshot shows what happens when you try to carjack football players
A man's horrifying mugshot photo has revealed what can happen when a carjacking goes wrong after he tried to steal from three football players.
Angelo Martinez, 21, was arrested in New Mexico and police said he asked the men for a lift after they had finished football practice.
He allegedly told them to get out of the car, but was attacked by one of the men after he fumbled with the fake gun he was wielding, WAPT reported.
Martinez's mugshot shows the extent of the injuries he suffered from the carjacking.
Both his eyes were completely swollen shut and he had bruises covering his forehead and cheeks.
The football players said Martinez was "acting sketchy" when he asked for a ride.
