Police swoop on 'outlaw motorcycle gang' properties on NSW-Queensland border
Tactical police swooped on a number of bikie members' homes in dramatic raids on the Queensland-New South Wales border.
The operation targeting illegal firearms and ammunition is part of a crackdown in response to the recent spate of violent incidents between rival gangs.
Officers have charged a Tweed Heads member of the Lone Wolf outlaw bikie gang.
Another man has been arrested after police discovered cannabis and knuckledusters during the raids carried out by local police and officers attached to Strike Force Raptor.
A 50-year-old man was arrested for allegedly hindering police during raids on a property at Kunghur as well as alleged cannabis cultivation and weapons possession.
He as taken to Tweed Heads Hospital after suffering a medical condition and is expected to be charged at a later date, police said in a statement.

Detective inspector Brendon Cullen, crime manager for the Tweed-Byron area, said police in the region will be working with the strike force to tackle outlaw motorcycle gang activity.
"We will continue to conduct highly-visibility and high-impact operations like this to target and disrupt the activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs and their associates," Det Insp Cullen said in a press release.
The detective inspector said police would ensure bikie gang associates "who break the law face serious ramifications".
"The safety of the community is our priority, and we will not tolerate public acts of violence – or any activity – that puts that safety at risk," Det Insp Cullen said.
Strike Force Raptor was set up in 2009 by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad to target bikie gang activities and related criminal enterprises across NSW.
