Little kid with big heart invents hot car warning system

A little boy in the United States who was upset when he saw a local news story about a baby dying in a hot car has come up with a life-saving invention.

It raises the alarm if a child is in danger and then blows cold air until help arrives.

Eleven-year-old Bishop Curry, from Texas, has always been inventive.

He says he likes to take things apart to see if he can make something else out of it.

After hearing of a local baby dying in a hot car, he was inspired to do more.

"I was like, this would be my one way shot to actually helping people," he said.

"He came up to me with his drawing and he explained to me his solution to prevent that from ever happening again," his father said.

"My thought was, why isn't this in stores now?"

The local community thought the same, donating more than $30,000 to develop a patent.
