'I know a lot about the killings': Chilling interview with Beaumont suspect
Seven News can reveal chilling video of a suspect in the Beaumont children’s disappearance, who claimed to know what happened to them.
The interview Max McIntyre gave before he died last week could be the best chance of a breakthrough in the state’s most important cold case.
“I know a lot about the Beaumont killings,” Max McIntyre said.
A suspect in the Beaumont children’s disappearance, McIntyre died last week aged 89, two years after the interview.
“At the moment I’m researching the death of the Beaumont’s because the only person that’s going to clear my name is me,” he said.
Max McIntyre’s son Andrew McIntyre believes he is lying.
“My father was involved in the abduction and murder of the Beaumont children,” Andrew claimed. But he alleged Max McIntyre did not act alone.
Andrew McIntyre claims his father’s friend Anthony Munro also knew something about the crime. Max McIntyre speaks of Munro in the interview.
Andrew McIntyre said his father and Munro frequented South Australia's Glenelg beach about the time Jane, Arnna and Grant were abducted.
“Both my father and Anthony Munro were involved with other people,” Andrew McIntyre said.
Andrew is convinced Jane, Arnna and Grant are buried in an old filled sink hole at his father’s property on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula.
Munro is a convicted paedophile and recently pleaded guilty to abusing Andrew when he was just eight years old.
Andrew McIntyre hopes Munro’s admission to those horrific crimes will prompt police to reinvestigate him over the Beaumont case.
“I’d like officers from major crime to unravel this mystery,” Andrew said.
