Qantas plane bound for Melbourne diverted to Singapore
Qantas is thanking passengers for their patience and understanding - after a mechanical fault forced an emergency landing overseas.
QF-10 was three hours into its flight from Dubai to Melbourne when it was diverted to Singapore late yesterday.
It landed at Changi airport - where the engine was assessed by engineers.
Qantas says customers would be booked on the next available flight - or provided overnight accommodation.
The aircraft is expected to return to service today.
