Police in gunfight with ISIS terrorists on Saudi city streets
WARNING - DISTRESSING: Footage has emerged of a shootout between two police officers and an alleged ISIS militant in open battle in the streets of Saudi Arabia.
The footage captured the point-blank showdown from an apartment window overlooking streets of the capital Riyadh.
Police were following a tipoff that there were militants stocking explosives nearby and pounced, the Daily Mail reports.
The suspects did not surrender and the firefight broke out in the streets.
Citizens on the street were ushered to safety in a nearby mosque while the dramatic operation played out.
With the suspected terrorists said to be wearing explosives vests and carrying machine guns, two officers fell back to find cover behind their police car.
As the terrorist approached the vehicle, the police officers returned fire at point-blank range with their pistol, taking the man down.
A woman off camera in the apartment where the showdown was filmed is heard screaming as the pinned police get their man.
One hero police officer is currently in hospital, recovering from his injuries.
